Helping Haiti - RESCHEDULED
Now Set for Saturday, February 20, at 4:00 p.m.
Please mark your calendars for Saturday, February 20, at 4:00 p.m. at our church where we will "MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE FOR HAITI." (Weather permitting!) Plan to bring children, family, and friends to this musical benefit for Haiti. The concert will feature musicians from our school and parish, as well as renowned Celtic musicians Sue Richards (Celtic harp), Carolyn Surrick (viola da gamba), and Ginger Hildebrand (guitar) from the nationally touring group, Ensemble Galilei. All donations will go to Episcopal Relief and Development, which has a track record in Haiti and is on the ground now.
The idea of a musical coming-together to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti is the brainchild of musician-parent Sharon Winton, Church Director of Music Dr. Jim Walton, and School Band Director Mel Kessler. This is our own St. Martin's-in-the-Field effort to show our common humanity with those who are suffering and demonstrate to our children that we can make a difference.
Please spread the word. Emails have gone out. Feel free to forward the email announcement to all your friends and family. See you there!
